Date posted: 18 September 2020
18 September 2020, Kuala Lumpur – The Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) and INCEIF - The Global University of Islamic Finance are pleased to announce that the fourteenth Executive Programme on Islamic Finance will be held virtually on 22 October 2020.
Themed, Measures to Create Resilience for the Islamic Finance Industry During and Post-Crisis: Regulator’s Perspectives, this Executive Forum aims to identify the common gaps and shortcomings of the financial regulatory frameworks and approaches in preventing the financial industry from a crisis. The COVID-19-induced global recession has been an unprecedented and unique crisis, originating from outside of the financial system. The unique crisis also presented the need for unique policy responses which makes it pertinent to examine how the financial system has responded during the crisis to manage it, and how it might move forward after the crisis to ensure economic and financial system recovery, stability, resilience and growth.
This Executive Programme will look at the gaps in the current regulatory system that become apparent during the crisis and which requires attention by standard-setters and regulators going forward.
The online Executive Programme will be divided into three sessions, which are:
- Regulatory Framework for Crisis Management
- Regulators’ Responses to Crisis
- Sustainability of Financial Institutions Post Crisis
The IFSB and INCEIF invite participants from among the regulatory and supervisory authorities and market players to participate in this 14th
Executive Programme. For further information and registration, do visit www.ifsb.org, or contact Ms Noor Azmah Mohd Yusof (email@example.com
