IFSB Successfully Concluded its 42^nd Council Meeting and Side Events

16 August 2023, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) is pleased to announce that the 42nd Meeting of the IFSB Council and Side Events were successfully concluded today, 16 August 2023. Hosted by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) which is the IFSB Council Chair for 2023, the Council Meeting and Side Events conducted were as follows:

42^nd IFSB Council Meeting

The council meeting and the general assembly were chaired by H.E. Ayman Al Sayari, Governor of SAMA and Chairperson of the IFSB for 2023, and were attended by central bank Deputy Governors, Chairmen of regulatory and supervisory authorities, and senior representatives from among the Council members of the IFSB. 

On behalf of the IFSB Secretariat, Secretary-General Dr. Bello Lawal Danbatta expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all IFSB members for attending and active participation in the 42^nd Council Meeting, paving way to effective IFSB governance. Dr. Danbatta was delighted that the Side Events, held over the last three (3) days, brought various IFSB stakeholders together on a common arena to discuss pertinent issues relevant to Islamic Finance.
